8 polyphonic synth with
two DCOs (Digitally Controlled Oscillator) per voice, multiple DCO waveforms, and good analog
filters with a strong resonance feature, was the the ultimate
product from the line of the DCO based Korg synthesizers (including the synths
like DW 6000, Poly 61 and Poly
800). Due to the sturdy resonance, It can produce characteristic bass sounds
with extra strong attacks. Also it has warm and transparent pad sounds that will fill up
your stereo field without jamming the front arrangement. Except the classic triangle and square, the
synth has a total of 16 digitally recorded waveforms. This makes the DW-8000 to
be one of the first affordable digital-analog hybrids, which fed the digitally
formed waveforms into the analog circuitry. Full MIDI implementation (velocity
etc...) makes this synth directly incorporable in your MIDI setup. |

-
Renowned compact monophonic synth with the repatching possibilities found only in modular systems. A lot of useful controls, 2 VCOs, 2 envelopes, special Hi and Low Cut Filters both with resonance, etc...
Its warm and "deep" sound characteristic, perfect for basses and leads, and its
versatility suitable for special effects and experimenting, made this synth one of the most wanted monophonic synths today (see
the Korg MS-20 page).

Polysix |
EUR |

-
Stable and tough KORG VCOs (Voltage Control Oscillators), famous SSM four-pole filters,
same as on Trident, for warm, Moog-like sounds. Versatile and widely popular, a specially sounding synth,
with a character that just cannot be copied by other machines. It is fully analog with
thorough programming capabilities,
an arpeggiator, and other useful features (see
the Polysix page). |
|
Poly-61 |
EUR |

-
The younger brother of the highly popular Polysix. Once adjusted and tuned in a proper way, Poly-61 becomes a surprisingly good sounding
and reliable analog synthesizer. It has 2 oscillators per voice, both declared
to be DCOs, but the first one has a peculiarity that it is a VCO by the signal
generation method, while the digital circuitry only triggers it and ensures
stability.
In short, Poly-61 is one of the few highly underrated synths,
partly because being shadowed by its older brothers, and partly because it has
to be fully functional and adjusted to give its best. If one learns how to
lessen a few minor disadvantages and quirks, or to use them creatively, this
synth will discover its amazing world of analog synthesis (see the
Poly-61 page),
The item on sale here is meticulously cleaned and refurbished, with all the keys
being
polished (EUR 120). The original factory adjustment and tuning procedure is
undertaken (EUR 80), to the minute details. All this results in a true
collector's item, sounding and looking great.

Poly-
800 |

-
Amazing little Korg synth, both by its look and performance. It will outperform many
larger and more expensive synths. It has four octaves, and is extremely easy to carry around. There are eight DCOs, configurable in either the full-poly mode with 8 voices,
or "dual" 4-poliphonic mode using 2 DCOs per voice. The filter chip is an excellent Korg
proprietary VCF chip, and the modulation matrix is simple but extremely useful.
Put all this together and you get easy
synthesis of fine analog sounds, from the classic warm pads, brasses, strings
and basses. Korg Poly 800-II is a later version with added digital delay and
some design improvements (see the Poly-800 page).
This item, besides the full refurbishment, includes a significantly improved
Moog-Slayer modification (a dedicated VCF cutoff frequency and
resonance knobs), plus the VCF modulation by the DCO2. Everything done with a
top professional quality. Excellent look and feel. The offset printing of the
labeling. See the actual Poly-800 on

-
The younger brother of the famous DMX rhythm machine, with slightly altered
(simplified) PCB architecture and lower price. What is important to stress is
that these are not just the PCM sampled sounds,
but originals with a character of its own. This is due to the nice DA converters
and analog VCA on the outputs, which makes the 12-bit resolution sound
excellent. Generally, the low-bit resolution drum machines with good DA section
are now considered as a legacy, because the sound is full, loud, and
compressed. If you want that disco
beats from the 80s this is a must-have drum machine that will make your rhythm
tracks burn.

Produced in the early 80s it became the biggest house and techno hype ten years later, in

There are many clones of the TB-303 on the market, but since the Roland company
is too big and too proud to allow the exact copies to be made, no serious and
responsible company dare to produce them. Though the prices are lowered the last

if the hype rise again in the near future!

The most unique, and probably the most popular analog drum machine ever. Never

the fattiest handclaps, the most intriguing tiny snare, a "mysterious" cow-bell and other sounds that has entered and changed the sound of modern music like
just a few of
other instruments. The TR-808 sounds, were copied and sampled over and over

According to
many experts, this is one of the best, if not "the best", digital-analog hybrid
ever produced. The quite simple idea to record various digital waveforms and to
pass them through the analog filters and envelopes is used on many synthesizers,
but only on a few selected was it realized in a way to achieve superb results.
PPG 2.x series is certainly an excellent example of this. And if we mention the
Prophet VS second, it is not because it stands behind the PPG or any of its
competitors! It's just because the rest of this passage is about this
instrument. Its vast range of completely unique sounds is astonishing. The
vector synthesis is not just another hi-tech sounding buzz word invented in the
advertising department. It
enables easy and intuitive mixing of digital sources into a desired sound
composition, which can be easily and effectively altered in the real time
playing. The percussive sounds have strong and fast envelopes, the transients
will hit your loudspeakers, while the overall impression is still so very warm
and natural sounding. On the other side, the brasses, strings and grounds are as
though they come from the best analog synthesizers You will recognize
many of these sounds on the famous records since 80s up to now. Even if the
sound you dream of originates from some other analog synth, due to its vast
capabilities, Prophet VS will surely come close to it. In short, this is an
extremely versatile instrument, bringing the best from both
the digital and the analog world. And one of the rare synths with no compromises
when sound is in question!
The item on sale here is in excellent condition, fully serviced and cleaned,
100% functional and of a great look. Aftertouch was refurbished to the full

An extremely
rare and good sounding synth, incomparable to any other. The precursor of
additive synthesis, with robust and still very warm and analog, organ-like,
sounds with a truly original concept. (Write your offer ...)

Simmons SDS 200 represents one of the classic electronic drum setups consisting of two tom-tom pads, and an analog module with two
separate voices. A total control of the parameters of analog sound will help you make the whistling sounds of electronic toms from eighties
(see Simmons SDS 200 page).
The price includes the sound module and two original pads with a stand, all in black.

A descendant of the legendary SDS 7, a hybrid analog/digital sound module comprised of analog sources for the bass drum and toms, and digitally sampled snare and rim shot.
The analog sounds are really classic Simmons (see the review on SDS-200), not digitalized and spoiled like on later MIDI models
(see Simmons SDS 9 page).
The price stated is without pads. Original pads
are also available on request.

One of the few organs that entered the "musical instruments hall of fame". By adding the
"squeaky" sound character and emphasizing the higher harmonics, it produces
the famous "cheese" style organ sound. The Super-Continental, with two manuals of inverted color keys, is the top model of the series and presents one of the most wanted Vox organs.
Call for the price. See Vox Super Continental page.
