DW-8000 EUR
490
  • 8 polyphonic synth with two DCOs (Digitally Controlled Oscillator) per voice, multiple DCO waveforms, and good analog filters with a strong resonance feature, was the the ultimate product from the line of the DCO based Korg synthesizers (including the synths like DW 6000, Poly 61 and Poly 800). Due to the sturdy resonance, It can produce characteristic bass sounds with extra strong attacks. Also it has warm and transparent pad sounds that will fill up your stereo field without jamming the front arrangement. Except the classic triangle and square, the synth has a total of 16 digitally recorded waveforms. This makes the DW-8000 to be one of the first affordable digital-analog hybrids, which fed the digitally formed waveforms into the analog circuitry. Full MIDI implementation (velocity etc...) makes this synth directly incorporable in your MIDI setup.

MonoPoly EUR
  • Extremely versatile mono synth with four VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators), the famous SSM 2044 four-pole filter chip and rich modulation capabilities. Can be configured as a poly synth (up to four voices).

MS-20US$
sold
  • Renowned compact monophonic synth with the repatching possibilities found only in modular systems. A lot of useful controls, 2 VCOs, 2 envelopes, special Hi and Low Cut Filters both with resonance, etc... Its warm and "deep" sound characteristic, perfect for basses and leads, and its versatility suitable for special effects and experimenting, made this synth one of the most wanted monophonic synths today (see the Korg MS-20 page).

Polysix EUR
  • Stable and tough KORG VCOs (Voltage Control Oscillators), famous SSM four-pole filters, same as on Trident, for warm, Moog-like sounds. Versatile and widely popular, a specially sounding synth, with a character that just cannot be copied by other machines.  It is fully analog with thorough programming capabilities, an arpeggiator, and other useful features (see the Polysix page).

Poly-61 EUR 490
  • The younger brother of the highly popular Polysix. Once adjusted and tuned in a proper way, Poly-61 becomes a surprisingly good sounding and reliable analog synthesizer. It has 2 oscillators per voice, both declared to be DCOs, but the first one has a peculiarity that it is a VCO by the signal generation method, while the digital circuitry only triggers it and ensures stability.
In short, Poly-61 is one of the few highly underrated synths, partly because being shadowed by its older brothers, and partly because it has to be fully functional and adjusted to give its best. If one learns how to lessen a few minor disadvantages and quirks, or to use them creatively, this synth will discover its amazing world of analog synthesis (see the Poly-61 page),

The item on sale here is meticulously cleaned and refurbished, with all the keys being polished (EUR 120). The original factory adjustment and tuning procedure is undertaken (EUR 80), to the minute details. All this results in a true collector's item, sounding and looking great.

Poly-
800
EUR
  • Amazing little Korg synth, both by its look and performance. It will outperform many larger and more expensive synths. It has four octaves, and is extremely easy to carry around. There are eight DCOs, configurable in either the full-poly mode with 8 voices, or "dual" 4-poliphonic mode using 2 DCOs per voice. The filter chip is an excellent Korg proprietary VCF chip, and the modulation matrix is simple but extremely useful. Put all this together and you get easy synthesis of fine analog sounds, from the classic warm pads, brasses, strings and basses. Korg Poly 800-II is a later version with added digital delay and some design improvements (see the Poly-800 page).
This item, besides the full refurbishment, includes a significantly improved Moog-Slayer modification (a dedicated VCF cutoff frequency and resonance knobs), plus the VCF modulation by the DCO2. Everything done with a top professional quality. Excellent look and feel. The offset printing of the labeling. See the actual Poly-800 on sale.

EX-800 EUR

call

  • A module version of the renowned little fellow Poly-800 (see the Poly-800 page).

Prophecy EUR
n.a.
  • One of the few monophonic synthesizers from the new era. Though digital, it can imitate analog synthesis and filtering, as well as simulate acoustic instruments. A lot of real time controllable functions like cutoff frequency, resonance, envelope parameters and more, are included. Completely programmable and with full MIDI implementation, this digital little beauty deserves attention (see the Prophecy page).

Trident
MKI
EUR

n.a.

  • One of "the biggest five" from the late seventies and early eighties. A superb 8-polyphonic synth with two VCOs per voice and SSM 2044 filter chips. Separate brass and string section will help you produced the richest analogs sounds imaginable. It has 16 free pach memories, and 3 presets (see also the Korg Trident page).

Trident
MKII
EUR
n.a.
  • As above Mark I with memory upgraded to 32 patches, cassette interface, MIDI available via e.g. Kenton (see the Korg Trident page).

Vocoder
VC-10
EUR
sold
  • A versatile vocoder with a unique sound, renowned of its classic "retro" look (very much alike to MS-20), with a mic and a VU-meter on it. Unlike some other units, this one comes equipped with its own carrier sound which can be produced by a practical 2 and 1/2 octave keyboard. External signals can be routed in as well. With a mic on an adjustable metal cord this is all you need to get a retro robotic voice or add choirs to your singing.

Rhythm
KR 55B
EUR
sold
  • This little analog rhythm machine was a Korg rival to the Roland rhythm machines from the old CR series. Similar to those, it is still quite unique with its warm analog sounds and many nicely preprogrammed rhythm patterns. The separate little volume pots for all instruments are provided. The very handy "swing potentiometer" will add swinging groove to the jazz or (optionally) all rhythms. This is the most Interesting sampling source and a pretty rare unit for your collection.

MOOG

^ACME^

Memory
moog
EUR
  • The last Moog made near the end of golden analog era. With its 6 voice polyphony Memorymoog was supposed to be "the pack of 6 Minis". Its architecture was in many aspects quite close to the famous predecessor (see the Memorymoog page). This fact, together with the Moog's known "no-compromise attitude" in constructing and engineering, makes this synth one of the most wanted and the most highly appreciated polyphonic synthesizers every built.
Minimoog EUR
  • It's Moog, it's the most popular Moog, and its basses are unsurpassed ever. Need more to say? The last model has 10 tuning trimmers on the back panel, and stable oscillators.
Polymoog
Keyboard
EUR
  • Totally polyphonic analog synth with famous Moog filters, 8 presets and weighted keys keyboard. ("nrfy" means that it is not refurbished yet, as can be inspected in the info desk.  If you are interested in buying this remarkable keyboard "as is", please contact us).

OBER
HEIM

^ACME^

DX
Rhythm
Machine
EUR
  • The younger brother of the famous DMX rhythm machine, with slightly altered (simplified) PCB architecture and lower price. What is important to stress is that these are not just the PCM sampled sounds, but originals with a character of its own. This is due to the nice DA converters and analog VCA on the outputs, which makes the 12-bit resolution sound excellent. Generally, the low-bit resolution drum machines with good DA section are now considered as a legacy, because the sound is full, loud, and compressed. If you want that disco beats from the 80s this is a must-have drum machine that will make your rhythm tracks burn.
Matrix-6R EUR
590
  • The rack version of the 6 polyphonic DCO based synth, with superb modulation matrix and great programmability features. The renowned CEM  filter chips produce this synth's great Oberheim analog sound, which you must have heard so often on the top records. Full MIDI.

Juno-60 EUR sold
(720)
  • A good warm and simple analog standard based on the DCOs, but with fully analog VCA and VCF stages. It has both the LPF (Low Pass Filter) and HPF (High Pass Filter), and excellent programming possibilities. It is often used in techno-pop, house and dance, due to the great strings and pad sounds colored with the great Roland filter. The resonance is very "brassy", fresh and strong. You'll find everything that you expect and more, for an affordable price. The price tag could be twice as much had it not been produced in large series, making Juno 60 quite available even now (see the Juno-60 page).
The Juno-60 on sale here is in an excellent condition, 100% functional and of a great look. During the servicing and cleaning attention is paid to the finest details. Complete adjustment procedure is done according to the original servicing specifications, with an emphasize to the filter and envelope tuning. The keys are polished (the procedure priced at EUR 120), which further adds to the value of this extra fine item.
Juno-106 EUR
  • The popular analog "must have it" synth, a descendant of the legendary Juno 60. It is affordable, reliable, and easy to work with. It has excellent MIDI implementation, with System Exclusive that will send MIDI data for every parameter you edit by its onboard potentiometers. There is also everything that is expected from a standard Roland product, like square sub oscillator, chorus, etc... The sound is very close to that of the Juno 106. The arpeggiator is removed, but UNISON mode and portamento are added  (see the Juno-106 page). The Juno-106 on sale here is in an excellent condition, 100% functional and of a great look. During the servicing and cleaning attention is paid to the finest details. Complete adjustment procedure is done according to the original servicing specifications, with an emphasize to the filter tuning. See pictures of the actual Juno 106 on sale.
Jupiter-4 EUR
  • 4 polyphonic early Jupiter with presets and programmable sounds. Each voice is implemented on a separate PCB board resembling the sound of early Roland SH series made of discrete electronic elements. There are especially warm and unique filters. A high quality of construction makes it a superb synth that can compare with much more expensive and rare units from the early analog era, like e.g. Oberheim 4 voice (see the Jupiter 4 page).
Jupiter-6 EUR
  • 6 polyphonic fully bred analog synth from the Roland's top quality Jupiter series. The first Roland ever with MIDI. Superb warm analog sound and versatile programming features.
JX-3P EUR
490
  • Sounds so special that no others, even expensive synths, can catch its strings, brasses, juicy funky sounds, etc... The first Roland synth with DCOs, MIDI and an optional programmer PG 200. For those of you who own the JX-8P, just a note that this predecessor does sound different (see the JX-3P page).
JX-8P EUR
590
  • Versatile 6-voice synth with two DCOs per voice for a full palette of analog sounds, and of course with the remarkable Roland VCFs. With the complete MIDI implementation (velocity etc.), this was a basic unit for the last of real analog JX series from Roland (as opposed to nowadays "virtual" synthesis). The foundations and the basics of a little bit refined sound of the Super JX 10.
Super
JX-10
EUR
750
  • 12 polyphonic extremely versatile analog synth with DCOs, an excellent 76-keys keyboard, presenting the top of the famous Roland JX series. The sounds are produced by the two JX-8P voice boards for 12 voice polyphony, but with less noise, a bit better filters and improved chorus. An ultimate analog synthesizer that marked the history as the last true analog instrument made by Roland -- in contrast to the many "virtual analog" or DSP (Digital Signal Processing) based units produced nowadays (see the Super JX-10 page). The actual unit was serviced and meticulously refurbished, it has new contact rubbers for excellent dynamic response, and besides being a distinguished and high quality analog synth, it can also serve as a versatile master keyboard.
MKS-70 EUR
  • Module version of the Super JX-10 synthesizer (see above). Together with the Roland MKS-80, the ultimate analog synthesizer module (see the MKS-70 page).
MKS-80

MPG-80
EUR
  • MKS-80 is a compact module version of Jupiter 8, with the similar sound, the same synthesis architecture, and superb MIDI implementation. It comprises 8-polyphony, with 2-VCOs per voice, 2 envelopes, 2 LFOs, two-multitimbral (see the MKS-80 page). Probably the best fully analog synthesizer module ever built.
The MKS-80 offered here comes with the hard-to-find programmer MPG-80, all in excellent condition. Manuals for both are included.
RE-201 EUR
  • Renowned Space-Echo machine, or to be precise -- the most popular tape based echo ever produced. Comes with an additional spring reverb that will add the old-fashioned "spacing" of the spring reverberations to your guitar sound. Many useful controls that will make the use of it easy and fun (see the Roland Tape Echoes page).
RE-301 EUR
  • The "medium version" of chorus and echo machine, somewhere in between the RE-301 and RE-501 (see below). Without balanced outputs like found on RE-501, with an analog VU instead of the led-diode meter, with more old-fashioned sound like on the 201, but with added chorus effect. For some of the users, the best combination of the new and old features among the Roland tape echo machines (see the Roland Tape Echoes page).

RE-501 EUR
  • Analog Chorus-Echo machine. The top model of the renowned Roland RE series of the tape based echo-machines (often popularly called "Space-Echoes" after the early RE-201 model) with additional spring reverb. Equipped with large number of heads for special types of echoing and with a noise reduction system (compounder). Rarity for itself, still professionally used in music production studios and on stage, because of its warm sound and specific echo patterns, so characteristic comparing to digital delays (see the Roland Tape Echoes page).
SRE-555 EUR
n.a.
  • The electronic equivalent of RE-501, meant for the rack mounting. It is placed in a professional metal chassis (which will provide a better protection against the outside interference). It comes with a sturdy rack-mounting adapter from which the unit can be pulled out for the tape loop exchange (see the Roland Tape Echoes page).
SH-1000 EUR
n.a.
  • Roland SH-1000 is father of the legendary SH series from ROLAND. Claimed to be the first commercial Japanese synthesizer, it is far from being just a "museum item" in your collection. SH-1000 is a unique monophonic synth with several  original and useful modulations and effects, not found in other instruments (see the SH-1000 page).
SH-3a EUR
sold
  • One of the special descendants from the famous SH series of synths, with the famous Roland analog oscillators and filters in the early discrete design.
SH-101

EUR

n.a.

  • Definitely the most popular SH synth. The character of sound is similar to those found in the earlier Roland monophonic synthesizers, but due to the CEM filter chip working with the Roland oscillators and envelopes, quite unique combination and excellent sound is achieved. It has smooth, warm and deep basses, and excellent leads that will inspire you. Rediscovered in house and techno, but will produce funky and classical electro-pop sounds like much more expensive units (see the SH-101 page). (The item on sale is in gray color, and has added additional inputs for external control of modulation amount and VCF frequency).

SH-2

EUR

n.a.

  • The predecessor of the above stated SH-101 synth, known of its simple and elegant configuration with 2 VCOs. It has the original discrete Roland analog filter which celebrated the Roland SH series of monophonic synthesizers. Often claimed to be one of the best synth basses ever (see the comments on e.g. VelvetAcidChrist Synths, and a short review on the Vintage Synth Explorer). Often matched with the sequencers like CSQ-100 and similar (see below).
The item sold here is in superb condition, almost unused. Will be fully rechecked, service and tuned for 100% functionality prior shipping.

CSQ-100

EUR

n.a.

  • Simple CV-GATE sequencer to be matched with a CV-GATE in/out synths like SH-101 and SH-2 described above. Quite a rare collector's item that can still be used for a quick and intuitive approach to recording your bass lines, sequencing patterns and complex arpeggios. See the Synth Museum review and a few useful links on the Sonic State. The item sold here is in superb condition, almost unused.

S-760 EUR
n.a.
  • Roland S-760 is a digital sampler that, thanks to its special features and excellent sound, stood aside the mad race between Akai and E-MU samplers in the past decades. Though not being the prevailing standard, it always had excellent reviews for its specific, vivid sound, produced by the great Roland DA converters and excellent filters. Now is considered as almost a rarity (see the S-760 page).
SVC-350 EUR
n.a.
  • This is among the most wanted analog items today. A versatile rack-mount model, with an input for the outside carrier signal, and the professional XLR balanced microphone or line input for the modulation signal. 11-band graphic control will enable better sonic control of the modulated sound (see the Roland vocoders page).
TB-303 EUR
wntd
  • Produced in the early 80s it became the biggest house and techno hype ten years later, in the 90s. Its 18 dB per octave LPF (Low Pass Filter) sounds and resonate like no other machine. There are many clones of the TB-303 on the market, but since the Roland company is too big and too proud to allow the exact copies to be made, no serious and responsible company dare to produce them. Though the prices are lowered the last few years -- compared to the pick at the late 90s, just think what could happen if the hype rise again in the near future!
CR-8000 EUR
res.
  • Fully analog drum machine with a true retro look. It is a descendant of the legendary CR-78, with a special bass drum, tiny warm toms and congas (e.g. like those on the Phil Collins' - In the Air Tonight). The famous Roland hand clap is also there. There are various preset rhythms that could inspire you, and 8 programmable rhythms for your own grooves. An excellent sampling source!
The item on sale is in excellent, meticulous condition, fully serviced and cleaned.
TR-606 EUR
wntd
  • Completely analog drum machine with nice analog sounds. The typical synthetic sounding drums are somewhat similar to those of the "mythical" TR-909. TR-606 is placed in a "silver box", of the same style as TB-303, since the both units are from the same age. Good "tiny" toms, an especially "high sounding" high-hat, a dense snare, and a typical "rubber-like" bass drum, make this little drum machine a worthy collector's item and a very useful source of original analog drum sounds  (see the TR-606 page).
TR-808 EUR
wntd
  • The most unique, and probably the most popular analog drum machine ever. Never really pretending to be a copy of the real drums, though, to be true, that was quite desirable at the time when it was conceived, the TR-808 remained to be an unsurpassed original of its own. It has the warmest bass drum, the fattiest handclaps, the most intriguing tiny snare, a "mysterious" cow-bell and other sounds that has entered and changed the sound of modern music like just a few of other instruments. The TR-808 sounds, were copied and sampled over and over again, and never became obsolete or dull. Have you ever considered purchasing the original? To use it as it is, or to make your own samples right from its outputs and trimmed to your taste! (MIDI available from e.g. Kenton.)

EUR

n.a.

  • Younger brother of the legendary Prophet 5, with the similar sound and programming abilities. Includes the latest software and advanced midi (poly mode).
Six-Trak US$
  • Sequential Circuits (SCI) Six-Trak is a scaled down version of the legendary series of Prophet synthesizers, with an improved MIDI implementation. It has a six-voice polyphony gained by six VCOs, and excellent four-pole analog filters (VCF) with a dedicated ADSR envelope. There is another ADSR envelope for the VCA, altogether enabling the creation of that great, classic, analog sounds (see the Six-Trak page).
Prophet VS EUR  sold
(1320)
  • According to many experts, this is one of the best, if not "the best", digital-analog hybrid ever produced. The quite simple idea to record various digital waveforms and to pass them through the analog filters and envelopes is used on many synthesizers, but only on a few selected was it realized in a way to achieve superb results. PPG 2.x series is certainly an excellent example of this. And if we mention the Prophet VS second, it is not because it stands behind the PPG or any of its competitors! It's just because the rest of this passage is about this instrument. Its vast range of completely unique sounds is astonishing. The vector synthesis is not just another hi-tech sounding buzz word invented in the advertising department. It enables easy and intuitive mixing of digital sources into a desired sound composition, which can be easily and  effectively altered in the real time playing. The percussive sounds have strong and fast envelopes, the transients will hit your loudspeakers, while the overall impression is still so very warm and natural sounding. On the other side, the brasses, strings and grounds are as though they come from the best analog synthesizers You will recognize many of these sounds on the famous records since 80s up to now. Even if the sound you dream of originates from some other analog synth, due to its vast capabilities, Prophet VS will surely come close to it. In short, this is an extremely versatile instrument, bringing the best from both the digital and the analog world. And one of the rare synths with no compromises when sound is in question! The item on sale here is in excellent condition, fully serviced and cleaned, 100% functional and of a great look. Aftertouch was refurbished to the full functionality nad the new LCD backlight is added.

CS-70M   EUR
  • Programmable analog giant from Yamaha, with 6 voice polyphony and dual channel capability. It is rare and has really distinguished analog sounds with many special programming features. Also known to be the last analog Yamaha synthesizer before the digital era of DX 7. MIDI was available from e.g. Kenton (see the CS-70M page).
SK-20     EUR
490
  • Polyphonic organ/string/synth analog hybrid from YAMAHA. Ideal for the lush orchestral, organ and pad sounds. The SK-20 combines three independent sections: an excellent organ section with several harmonics controllable by potentiometers (similar to drawbar control), a simplified string section, and a good polyphonic synth section with VCF and ADSR envelope. SK-20 represents a considerable rarity, and a nice supplement to every analog collection. (see the SK-20 page).
The synth on sale here has two essential modifications added, which highly improve its functionality. The first is the switch ON/OFF control over the three sections, which not only enables fast isolation of wanted section, e.g. while creating and checking sounds, but is vital in preserving the faders from unnecessary wear. The other modification is switch control for the tremolo spped (leslie speaker simulator). Also, the synthesizer has undergone the elaborate factory adjustment procedure.

AKAI
AX-80
US$
  • Akai AX-80 is an analog synthesizer with great technical specifications, many parameters to control, and the renowned Akai quality of production. It features eight voices of polyphony, and a special sound timbre, excellent for warm analog basses, pads, brasses and rather peculiar effects (see the Akai AX-80 page). The fact that it can be bought for the money of technically inferior machines, makes its purchase even more attractive for all the analog fans and collectors.
ARP
Omni-2
EUR
  • Fully polyphonic hybrid of electric strings and a synth. The three separate sections include the strings, the synthesizer and the bass, which all produce excellent analog sounds. The violins are rich  and silky, and their saw-like waves serve as the basis for the synth section. They can be filtered through the renowned ARP VCF filter (see the ARP Omni-2 page). Although Omnis can be found for much cheaper prices, usually they are out of order. The unit on sell here was refurbished for a total of 15 full working days, and put in perfect order. The repairing included such details as gold plating of the changed contact wires.
Casio
CZ-101
EUR
  • Little but special digital synth from Casio which sounds very much like an analog. The secret is the wave forming principle of "phase distortion" and there a nice filtering. Especially good pitch bending and superb portamento effect that will make your solos smooth and natural. No wonder that CZ-101 was rediscovered by those who like oriental type of sounds where expression is a must (see the  Casio CZ-101 page). Comes with a nice black suitcase included in the price.
